Titchwell Manor 2018

4th December 2018

A Fantastic evening celebrating 30 years at Titchwell Manor - raising over £6,000 for Tapping House - Norfolk Hospice . 10 Colleges wanted to be involved but only 2 could be invited - Milton Keynes and New City College London.

The 82 Guests were invited to be judges for the evening - to crown a winning Chef - and so there was no cheating all dishes were presented anonymously . Sadly Adam Simmonds had to withdraw ( he was worried about not winning - but he blamed the fact that he was opening a Hotel with Adam Handling !) - and in keeping in line with Inspiring Young Chefs - they took on the task of producing Adam's Dish !!!

A truly Inspirational Evening

Student Ella Langley- NCC  " I had an amazing experience at Titchwell Manor earlier this week. It was astounding to be involved in such a lovely event where money for charity was raised. I learnt so many new skills such as how to properly clean and cook mussels that went into one of the starter dishes. Along with learning about the correct ways to plate food.

Our team from New City College were well looked after and we couldn’t have asked for better company! Thank you so much for having us and I wish to see everyone from Titchwell Manor again "

Student Alex Lambert - MK College - "What an amazing opportunity. Working alongside renowned chefs, Eric Snaith, Adam Smith, Mark Payton and Mr Murray Chapman. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was informative talking to the established chefs of Titchwell Manor getting an insight the vocation. Felt quite happy working next to Chef Smith, assisting him with his winning dish and witnessing him organise the service. I hope another opportunity comes along soon "

Lecturer - Jeff Mason - NCC - "Thank you to Murray, Passion to Inspire, Mark, Adam & of course to Eric & the wonderful team at Titchwell Manor for such an amazing day working along such great talent. A truly inspiration experience for our students who had the privilege of being mentored throughout the day by & gained valuable insight into the workings of a highly acclaimed kitchen. As a result our two students have now decided we need a Green egg in the kitchen so they can dry some fish bones & then BBQ them, brilliant."

Lecturer - Danny Francomb - NCC - " Thanks for the great day at Titchwell Manor.  It was a wonderful experience for our students to work alongside Eric Snaith's  brilliant team of chefs.  Our students were truly inspired by the whole event and came away with a lot more knowledge of working in a real kitchen.  Adam Smith was a lovely gentleman and excellent chef who the students enjoyed working with.  The whole day was fantastic experience and our students haven't stopped talking about it. "
